School Clubs

Extending learning, activity and opportunity beyond the school day

Oxfordshire RTC School Clubs support primary and secondary schools in delivering high-quality extra-curricular sport and activity programmes that are fun, inclusive and purposeful. Whether your aim is to increase pupil engagement, promote positive behaviour before or after school, or simply create more opportunities for young people to be active, our school clubs are designed to complement curriculum delivery and strengthen your overall offer.

We believe that activity beyond the school day plays a powerful role in developing confidence, teamwork, leadership and resilience.

How we work with schools

Our approach is collaborative and school-centred. We work with school leaders and PE teams to establish a club offer that reflects your priorities, pupil profile and timetable. This may include:

  • Before-school activity clubs
  • Lunchtime movement sessions
  • After-school multi-sport and activity clubs
  • Football-focussed extra-curricular groups (team specific or additional sessions)
  • Targeted clubs for less-active pupils

Clubs can be designed as short-term blocks or as multi-term provision, depending on your needs and capacity. Furthermore, the booking process can be managed by ourselves or through your schools built in sign up process.

What we offer

Multi-Sports Clubs

Our Multi Sports extra-curricular clubs provide pupils with the opportunity to experience a wide range of sports and physical activities in a fun, inclusive and engaging environment. Activities may include netball, gymnastics, cricket, ultimate frisbee, pickleball and other emerging or traditional sports, allowing pupils to explore different movement skills and find activities they enjoy.

Sessions are designed to develop physical literacy, coordination, teamwork and confidence, while encouraging positive participation and enjoyment. Delivered by experienced practitioners, our multi-sports clubs support pupils of all abilities and promote lifelong engagement in physical activity beyond the school day.

Football-Focused

Our football-focused extra-curricular clubs provide pupils with the opportunity to engage in structured, enjoyable and development-led football beyond curriculum PE.

Sessions are designed to build technical skills, game understanding and confidence in a positive and inclusive environment, supporting pupils of all abilities.

Delivered by experienced, qualified coaches, our clubs place equal emphasis on enjoyment, learning and personal development, helping young people develop a lasting connection to football while reinforcing teamwork, respect and resilience.

Activity clubs for all

Our Activity Clubs for All are designed to support pupils in developing strong physical literacy and fundamental movement skills through fun, play-based activities.

These clubs focus on helping children learn to move well, build confidence in their bodies and enjoy being active in a positive and inclusive environment.

Sessions emphasise balance, coordination, agility and spatial awareness, using games and creative activities that encourage participation from all pupils, regardless of ability or prior experience.

Our Activity Clubs for All aim to remove barriers to physical activity, supporting long-term engagement, wellbeing and a positive relationship with movement beyond the school day.

Leaders Programme

Our Young Leaders Programme is designed to develop confident, responsible and positive leaders through structured, sport-based extra-curricular clubs. Pupils are supported to understand what effective leadership looks like, how to communicate clearly with others and how to lead by example in a range of settings.

As part of the programme, participants are introduced to the principles of session design, including planning activities, managing groups, adapting sessions for different abilities and creating safe, inclusive environments. Young leaders are encouraged to reflect on their practice, build confidence in decision-making and develop the communication skills required to support and inspire others.

The programme helps pupils develop transferable life skills such as teamwork, organisation, confidence and responsibility, preparing them for leadership roles within school, sport and the wider community.
