Holiday Camps

Structured days. Positive environments. Lasting memories.

Oxfordshire Regional Talent Centre delivers high-quality holiday camps throughout the year, providing structured, enjoyable and development-focused provision for children aged 4–16 during all school holidays and half-terms. Our camps combine football, physical activity and positive experiences in safe, well-organised environments led by qualified staff. Childcare vouchers can be used across our programmes, and we are proud to work in partnership with Cherwell District Council to deliver the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, supporting access to high-quality provision for families within the local community.

Parents can be confident that all Oxfordshire RTC holiday camps are delivered to the highest standards of care, safety and organisation. Every camp is led by experienced, qualified and DBS-checked staff, with clear safeguarding procedures in place at all times. Sessions are age-appropriate, well structured and inclusive, ensuring children of all abilities feel supported, valued and safe. Clear communication, robust registration systems and on-site welfare support help create a positive and reassuring experience for both children and parents.

our Camps

Each camp day at Oxfordshire RTC is carefully structured to balance learning, repetition and enjoyment. Below outlines the aims behind each of our different camps during the holidays.

All camps round off the week with a Football Shirt Friday Tournament Day, where players are encouraged to wear their favourite football shirt and take part in end-of-week tournaments. This creates a fun, competitive and celebratory finish to the week, while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship and a love for the game.

Position Specific Camps

Oxfordshire RTC Position-Specific Camps are invite-only and designed for players seeking targeted development in specific areas of the game. Each camp is led by our highest qualified coaches and provides focused, high-quality support to help players develop the skills and understanding most relevant to their position and individual needs.

These specialist camps are built around five key development areas:

Dribble and Deceive

Focused on 1v1 attacking situations, this programme develops ball mastery, creativity and confidence in possession. Players learn how to manipulate the ball, disguise intentions and eliminate opponents in match-realistic scenarios.

Receive and Retain

This area supports players in improving first touch, body positioning and decision-making under pressure. Sessions focus on protecting possession, playing through pressure and making effective choices in tight areas of the pitch.

Create and Convert

Designed for attacking players, this programme focuses on chance creation and finishing. Players work on movement, combination play and composure in front of goal, developing the ability to turn opportunities into outcomes.

Delay and Deny

This defensive-focused programme develops players’ ability to defend effectively in 1v1 and small-group situations. Sessions emphasise positioning, timing, awareness and resilience to prevent goals and regain possession.

Goalkeepers | Shot Stoppers and Attack Starters

Goalkeeper-specific sessions focus on both traditional shot-stopping techniques and modern distribution skills. Players develop handling, footwork, decision-making and the ability to initiate attacks, reflecting the demands of the modern game.

Football Camps

Our regular football camps are designed for players aged 4–16 and focus on developing well-rounded, confident footballers in a fun and supportive environment. Each day is carefully structured around four key football themes, ensuring a balance of learning, repetition and enjoyment.

Players rotate through sessions that focus on; In Possession play, developing ball mastery, decision-making and creativity, and; Out of Possession play, supporting understanding of pressing, defending and regaining possession. These themes are reinforced through fun, games-based activities that link learning directly to match situations.

Alongside on-pitch sessions, the day includes a lunch break, opportunities to reset and socialise, and an interactive football quiz that encourages learning, discussion and engagement. Each afternoon finishes with tournament-based games, allowing players to apply what they have learned in a competitive yet positive environment that promotes teamwork, respect and enjoyment.
